Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 7:00 pm from September through May. There will be no meeting the first Monday of September this year (2009) due to Labor Day. The first meeting wil be on the 21st.
At the first meeting of the month, an informational program is presented, and the second meeting is the judging / competition. All meetings are held at the Minot Public Library on the lower level, West end of the building.
In the summer months, the club plans 2 photography field trips to get together and take some photos. All activities and competition categories are chosen and voted on by the club members present at the April meeting.
Our first meeting of the month (1st Monday) is a business meeting with an educational program. Club members are chosen to invite a guest to speak to the club on various photography related topics of their choice to educate our members. At our second meeting of the month, (3rd Monday) we invite our competition judge to come and critique the photos submitted for the monthly competition by our members, and to let us know how each photo placed. Awards are presented in the form of "congratulations" and the top 3 photos of each category are posted on our website, and all results are published in the Minot Daily News.
